Cute Pooch Alert!

I’ve been a little MIA lately. We decided to take a leap and get a new puppy. She is cuter than anything but a lot of work. She isn’t completely potty trained and we are training her to be good with our kids and other animals.

Since she is a puppy, she is a bit hyper and it is taking a lot of work to get her to listen. With the work comes the reward so I am keeping on. She is only 3 months old and already big. She will be a big girl when she is full grown and we are excited about her.

She is a rescue dog from a local shelter. A friend of mine told me about her and I immediately filled out an application. The shelter sent someone to come and check out our house and how she would do. She seemed to take to us right away which is exciting. She is such a happy little opportunist. We have to watch her pretty closely. She has quite the appetite for cat litter…gross! She could care less about the cat but she loves her droppings!

She may be a lot of work but I didn’t realize how much we needed her. With everything that is going on, we needed a dog. Dogs are different than most other animals in that thy love affection. They love to give as well as receive affection. With the world going a little insane right now, we have no shortage of love to share with her.

She seems to be the missing puzzle piece in our family. She is a ray of sunshine on a rainy day. When we thought to get a dog, we had no clue what kind of dog we wanted, where to get it or how. I just started searching local shelters and filling out applications. We were accepted and are excited about her. She is a Lab/Pit Hound mix. Her eyes are beautiful, she is beautiful and we are so thrilled to spend the next couple decades with her.

Do you have a dog? If you were to get a new dog, what kind would you hope to get?
